I didn’t do much this weekend. Started feeling a bit under the weather on Wednesday, and by Saturday, it developed into a full-blown cold. I’m feeling much better now, though - was worried that it would affect this weekend’s trip to Vegas, but things should be fine.

So, I finally gave up on trying to pirate the unencoded analog cable signals on my PVR. Went to Radio Shack and bought fifty’ bucks worth of signal filters and boosters, tried different connections nine ways to Sunday, and none of it would clean up the bad horizontal lines on Channel 2. So I ordered a USB-UIRT device and I’m just gonna record off of the digital cable box. I should be able to record every cable channel now, but I can only watch whatever channel I happen to be recording at the time.

Gonna be a short work week, thank God. I’m swamped with work, and I really need a short vacation.
