Okay, so the USB-UIRT arrived and after about 30 minutes of screwing around with it, I got it working. I’m taping Chapelle’s Show right now. This whole PC-based PVR thing is certainly not as slick as something like Tivo, but it’s working. I’m starting to see the whole “PVR will change your life” thing. For example, I could record a crapload of TV, copy it all to my laptop, bring the laptop to Vegas, and sit around all weekend in the hotel room watching TV. But, I won’t.

Went to a Korean buffet for lunch today, it was swell. Sushi and barbecue for less than twenty bucks.

Two more days to go.

    Welcome my son. Your PVR is the technology version of Jesus. Everything changes. You are not tied to watching stuff at 8pm on Tuesday. You can watch it when you get around to it. God, thank you for second your technology to us.
