Google?

February 10th, 2005

rightonbro.com has nearly been erased from Google on some keyword searches I was trying to optimize for. If you searched for “michael jung los angeles,” it used to be 1st. Now it doesn’t even show up in the results. I have not changed anything in my template set since November. And, it’s not like I’m trying to optimize for anything ridiculous or out of context - just my name. So I don’t know what could have caused this.

Worked. Any ideas?

according to several sources on the “net”, Google ranks pages based on links-to your site form outside your site. So a link from me, hinojosa, broken, would all count and help you raise your results listing. That’s in addition to your meta tags. I don’t even show up when I search for my own name.

Right. That’s part of the equation. The other is the instances of the keyword showing up on the pages, which is why I put my name in the title tag of the HTML pages. You don’t show up on Google when searching for “Mike Montez” because none of your pages contain that phrase. I bet you’d show up in a search for “montez” though. This is also why you see tons of link farms that just have a bunch of keywords on them. My shit just straight disappeared though. Maybe Google dissed the title tag as a relevancy factor?

based on my experiences, we pay $5k to put our link at the top of the google searches. it’s all about money, man. yoiu’ve been pushed out.
