Much Better; Brownies; 05/05/05
Today was a much better day. Made some good progress on a project I’m working on at the office, and had a good lunch (the buffet at Nizam, not quite as good as Star of India on Melrose, but possibly rotation-worthy) with some old co-workers. Also another former co-worker dropped by the office and it was good to hang with him for a quick minute too. The people I cared about at my last job have all seemed to be moving on fairly successfully, so that makes me happy.
My mindset is like 180 degrees from yesterday. I mean, pretty much things are cyclical - you have good days and have bad days. The key for me is knowing on the bad days that good days are coming back, which I’m getting better at. Also, I did some laundry last night, so maybe that has something to do with it.
Caroline made some brownies and I got some last night. They are the most kickass brownies I’ve ever had. I would like to swim in a sea of these things, they’re so good. So, thank you Caroline, and if you have more to give, I would gladly take them off your hands.
Toby’s coming by for dinner and we’re going to Hacienda del Rey in Westchester. It is, after all, Cinco de Mayo, a.k.a. “Mexican People, It’s Your Day.” Word.
Mike,
Congratulations on “getting some” last night. Maybe that’s why you’re outlook on life has inproved.
Caroline,
If you have more to gice, I’ll come over too.
I am pissed. I wanted her brownies! I was all looking forward to it after sunday. Instead I got those crappy pumpkin muffin.
Was it really a brownie or a brown eye? How was it Mikey? Mikey was it clean, was it brown? She gives her “brownies” to everyone, they call her “easy-bake oven”.
Dude, that is mean. Caroline is sweet and doesn’t deserve that.
I wish I got some of her brownies. I guess you have to be named Mike to get any. Boo-hoo
