Fine Dining with Mickey Mouse

I was determined to get over last week’s cold, and I did - just in time to go to Disneyland on Saturday. Yes, that’s right, Disneyland.

Of course it’d have to be a very special occasion before someone would drag me down there, and it was - a birthday dinner at Club 33, the park’s secret, members-only club. It’s tucked away in the New Orleans section of the park, above the Blue Bayou restaurant, and isn’t marked by anything except for a number (”33″) on the door.

I’ll skip the details, but it was really, really nice, the food (duck with fruit risotto) was really good, and the waiter didn’t act condescending when I asked him for a wine recommendation.

So happy birthday to you-know-who, and thanks to you-know-who for the once-in-a-lifetime experience!
