The Summer TV Doldrums
This upcoming Wednesday is the end of the regular TV season. With the 2-hour season finale of Lost, none of the shows that I regularly watch are going to be airing new episodes until the fall.
I’m feeling pretty apprehensive about that. I like to have a stockpile of unwatched TV shows to fill up times when I’m like, “Hey, I think I’d like to watch some TV.” Because, even with cable TV, channel-surfing just plain sucks. We have like 200 cable channels, including HBO, and I can never sit down, surf around, and find something I want to watch.
But now, with the TV seaon ending, that stockpile is going to be gone very soon. Like, probably by Friday. Leaving me with about six months without Jack Bauer.
How should I fill my free time? Do I actually have to, maybe, read a book, or go outside, or something? That frightens me.
