Kicking Kelly to the Curb

I have a secret. Even though I’m a big music snob who listens to a lot of bands my friends have never heard of, I get obsessed with a commercial pop music song now and then. Like, super obsessed.

This summer was all about “Since U Been Gone” by Kelly Clarkson, which, I think, will go down as one of the best modern pop songs ever written and performed. Well, summer’s over and Kelly gets kicked to the curb. C-YUH!

My new obsession? “My Happy Ending” by Avril Lavigne. Pretty trite verses (”they tell you I’m difficult/but so are they”), but man, the chorus sounds absolutely amazing.

Speaking of Avril, I thought this (the photo) was pretty funny….

Server Migration and Elvis Lives at Food4Less

I finally just finished migrating everything over to my new server. System administration is a pain in the butt, especially for a non-techie design person, but I think I’ve got the basics working correctly. Currently I’m on a default blog template. I’ll be re-installing the old theme later on.

Last week, I went to Vegas with Toby. We went to the Food4Less at 1:30 in the morning to get some water. There were two Elvis impersonators in the store, shopping after a long hard day of, well, being Elvis. They bought frozen pizza and a 2-liter bottle of lemonade, and one of them was doing the Elvis heel dance while waiting in line.

We let the other guy cut in line to catch up with the other, and he said, “Viva Las Vegas, baby.” It was awesome.
